The BURN BAN for Robertson County's unincorporated areas was rescinded on Sept. 26. Patrolman Gary Walker reported that the lake is 14-1/2" low as of September 28. Watch for stumps when the lake is low.

Early voting located in Franklin four blocks north of Hwy. 79 on No. Hearne (turn north just east of the Shell station) at Election Central. The building is on the right, just before the Franklin Nursing Home.

The Franklin United Methodist Church is holding its annual Pumpkin Patch with a gift shop (just north of Hwy. 70 on No. Main) from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily. Special happening including live music with E.W. Bridwell and the Stetson Trio and hayrides begins at 6 p.m. this Saturday, October 25.
Sunday hours from 12 noon - 7 p.m.

10/23 - In addition to the Pumpkin Patch mentioned above, the Edge General Store is holding its Rompin' Stompin' Street Fest with live music, kids' activities, games and food from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. this Saturday. Wheelock is also holding its annual Pioneer Days from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
