There are many hummingbirds around, so their annual fall migration has probably begun. If you're interested, get your feeders out and keep refills on hand (see home page for NEW recipe on 9/10), as the migration may mean that you must refill every day or two!

9/11 - Be aware that there is a pack of three dogs running together on the south side, two of which are large pit bulls and the other looks like a shepherd/collie mix. Please call Gary Walker (828-3860) if you see them. They have already killed a cat and are running deer. They may be dangerous to humans, as well!!

9/18 - We had about 1-1/8" of mostly-slow, steady rain Friday night and Saturday morning, and another approximately 1/4" last night. Most bucks have shed their antler velvet, so rutting season is beginning. That means driving will be more hazardous, as the deer are running from/after each other and not paying attention at all to traffic. Please drive carefully!! The Weather Underground forecast through Sunday is:

Thursday, 9/18 - Thunderstorms likely this morning. Then the chance of scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. High around 85F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%. At night, cloudy skies early with scattered thunderstorms developing late. Low 71F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Friday, 9/19 - Partial cloudiness early, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. High near 90F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. At night, a chance of rain 40%. Partly cloudy. Low 69F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday, 9/20 - Sunshine along with some cloudy intervals. High 92F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. At night, a few clouds from time to time. Low around 70F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday, 9/21 - Isolated thunderstorms in the morning. Skies will become partly cloudy later in the day. High around 90F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%. At night, mostly cloudy skies. Low near 70F. Winds light and variable.
