We have better news! A young couple known to many of you with a long family history at Camp Creek Lake MAY take the website over on January 1 (same domain name and web address: www.cclo.us). We are hopeful and will let you know as soon as there is a firm commitment to keep the site running.
Please do copy any links, etc., which you want to keep before the end of December, 2014, as the website will change considerably even if they take it over, and some pages will disappear entirely.
Of particular interest to those of you interested in Camp Creek Lake history might be Edwin H. Cooper's interviews (Part I and II) with Virgie Meadors.
Also, right now, some might want to know that we had about 3" of rain last Friday-Saturday, and the lake level is rising; it's still about a foot below the docks. Autumn color is the best we've ever seen; hopefully, some leaves will still be on the trees for those celebrating Thanksgiving here!
I apologize for any inconvenience. It has been a good 13-year run as webmistress!
